Our Roots
We are a farmer-owned venture in Myanmar’s coffee heartland, located in Ywangan, Southern Shan State. Our elevation, at 1,250 metres or higher above sea level, is the ideal environment for producing high-quality highland coffee.
Our name is a blend of "Shwe," representing gold, and "Taung Thu," which stands for farmers.
Over the past six years we have exported our coffee to various countries around the world. Coffee connoisseurs in the US, Canada, Dubai, the UK, France, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and Thailand have all bought our fine Arabica green beans.

We are proud to share the story of Ywangan Shwe Taung Thu's unwavering passion and dedication to exceptional Myanmar coffee.
Established formally and registered with DICA in 2018, we bring together members from 17 villages, each having voting rights in our General Assembly to select our Board of Directors. We empower small-scale farmers, giving them control over coffee production, pricing, and community contributions. This frees them from middleman exploitation and boosts their profits.
Today, our resilient community boasts over 3,000 farmers, with women making up 60% of our workforce. Our flagship product is sun-dried natural Arabica coffee green beans. It is produced annually and is a testament to the dedication of Ywangan's growers.
Quality, transparency, and sustainability are woven into every stage of our production and processing. This ensures traceability from the coffee tree to the cup.
